The InnerPlant team is excited to kick off the 2025 soybean season and help take the guesswork out of your fungicide decisions by sending you simple alerts when disease is confirmed near your fields.

We’re in the process of planting our network of CropVoice plots in your area, and soon you can expect to receive local scouting reports from our agronomists every other week, with weekly reports during the critical period when your crops are most vulnerable to disease. In the meantime, we want to give you pre-season updates with more information about our technology and network. Our previous pre-season update shared a little about our agronomy team. Today, we’ll pull back the curtain on the technology and science behind CropVoice.

The heart of the CropVoice network is the thousands of living InnerSoy fungal disease sensors. InnerSoy is a first-of-its-kind soybean engineered to signal, or fluoresce, only when the plant is infected with fungal disease. We maintain plots of InnerSoy across a network of fields strategically located in your area.

When we see the InnerSoy signal that indicates disease during the season, we’ll alert you with a text message and email, as well as via John Deere Operations Center, for those with existing Ops Center accounts.

These amazing living sensors are monitored daily by specialized hardware. You can see a demo of how it works here:.

When the InnerSoy plants signal, our hardware detects that signal, and we quickly validate that disease is present in your area with boots-on-the-ground scouting, laboratory analysis, weather data, and advanced modeling.

In addition to daily monitoring of our InnerSoy plots with specialized hardware, our agronomists scout our plots and neighboring fields. And they will regularly collect tissue samples for analysis by our in-house pathology lab using novel assays developed exclusively for CropVoice.

The entire InnerPlant team is excited to launch the 2025 CropVoice season. Thank you for letting us help take the guesswork out of your fungicide decisions this year.
